Buckminster Fuller – ‘ The Design Scientist ‘

  |   Inspiration   |   No comment

Over the last ten years I have become aware of Buckminster Fuller. At first I thought of him as a difficult person, due to the manner in which he spoke. Looking through this, he began to make more sense to me. His projects have a varying scope and he materialised many of his ideas. More info can be found at the Buckminster Fuller Institute. For now I want to share with you what we’ve lost with current skill specialisation. Sometimes we have specialised to much and lost the helicopter view. What defines a designer, architect or some other profession? What is a design and where does it and it’s creator stop? Bucky’s view is applicable to lots of professions. Enjoy!
